Today was root canal day for me, and I survived! Actually, the worst part was the deadening of the upper front of my mouth. Sometimes my nerves resist.
As you can see, my dentist really is young, but she is good, and she is very, very reasonable, even for Mexico. Her English and my Spanish are just about equal, so there's an opportunity for both of us.
After the dental appointment, we went to Soriana, our favorite grocery store, but I was pretty foggy after a short night's sleep and a pill to take the edge off of my nerves. I'm not sure what I bought.
We were going to go to Home Depot after, but we decided to go home. Several items came from Amazon -- mostly wrong thing, wrong size -- but whatever. I went to bed for a few hours and woke up feeling human.
Speaking of shopping, we went to the Rosarito bazaar last week, and I bought a picture that I love.
I'm a fan of Frida Kahlo. I'm sure a print of a painting by Kahlo would be reasonable if it weren't numbered or signed. However, I found a rip-off that I thought was kind of cool. Kahlo painted something quite similar. This makes me happy too, so I got it. I have one more thing to hang, but all of the walls are stucco, so I have to figure out how to do it. We're not changing many picture hangers because they are the devil to install and to remove. So, what do you think of my Frida lookalike?

Looks pretty darn good! Way better than the Elvis on black velvet we used to see in Tijuana!
